Wearing what you want at any age with comfort and confidence!

In today’s video, Cindy Rose aka The Bombshell Nurse, talks about having confidence and comfort with wearing whatever you’d like, at any age and being proud no matter what anyone says.

Topics we’ll be going over:

  • Swimsuits in your 50s and beyond
  • Bombshell Bikinis
  • Body acceptance
  • Comfort zone

You wear a lot of swimsuits for your age?

Anybody can wear swimsuit, no matter what their age is. I think the more pointed question is wearing bikinis. The fact that I wear bikinis at my age is sometimes questioned by others, but I don’t care because I can wear whatever I want to. I think women of all ages can wear any type of swimsuit they want to.

Have you always worn bikinis?

I find it very interesting that it wasn’t until I was in my late 40s, early 50s that even started to wear bikinis I had always worn a one piece. I had children in my 20s and thought I had the mom bod going on and tried to cover it up at the time. It was all about perfection, looking like airbrushed models, which is ridiculous. Just society norms, you know, so it took me till I was a confident woman. Really a confident woman with a supportive husband who encouraged me to wear bikinis.

Do you see any problem with swimsuits passed a certain age?

I am proud of my body. I have worked hard. It is not perfect by whatever set of standards out there. We all have flaws, and we all see our own flaws. I’ve had four children, I’ve got lots of stretch marks, my skin isn’t as taut as it used to be just because of my age and that’s just normal aging. I think that should be out there for people to see that it’s okay to look that way to celebrate the body that you have lived in and have gone through all of life’s ups and downs. I don’t think there’s a problem with that at all.

How do you pick what to wear?

I think it should be open to anything. And I don’t think anybody has the right to judge anyone else on their choices that they make in swimwear or clothing. You know, I can wear anything. I mean, I look at me today I am fully covered. I’ve got tights on and nothing open, long sleeves, longer skirt, but I can also rock a little mini and show a little cleavage.

How do you do it?

So much has to do with confidence. A confident woman, a happy woman, a woman who can smile, those are the most beautiful people out there. So it doesn’t really matter if you’re fully in shape or not, just if you feel good in what you’re wearing.

Do you enjoy encouraging and empowering other women?

Absolutely! I like to encourage other woman to step out and feel safe and secure in their own skin and be able to exude whatever type of vibe she wants to put out there. You know, go for it. I’d be thrilled if I could be the person that would do that for someone else, that’s the way to go.
